Members of the Manitoba Organic Alliance represent the Manitoba organic value chain and bring many perspectives to the table - all with a common vision of a strong organic sector in Manitoba. This provides the MOA with the support to represent the entire organic sector and develop alliances with like-organizations in other provinces and provide a representative voice with federal and provincial governments and regulators.

By being a supporting member of the MOA individuals and organizations also gain the opportunity to participate at the Annual General Meeting by bringing forward issues for discussion and voting on resolutions and actions to be taken to provincial and federal regulators and governing bodies. The Board of Directors is made up of a cross-section of producers, processors and other members of the organic value chain in Manitoba.

Consider putting your sponsorship budget to work for you in the organic sector by supporting the work done on your behalf by the Manitoba Organic Alliance. The MOA brings members of the sector together at the Annual General Meeting and attends trade shows and other organic-focused events throughout the year. Your support enables MOA to continue to attend events and maintain channels of communication within and outside of the sector.

What MOA can do for members:

The MOA represents the Manitoba organic sector with respect to the development and implementation of organic regulations. As a member of the Organic Federation of Canada (OFC), an MOA representative sits on the OFC board and is involved in discussions of the national standards that apply to all certified producers in Canada.

The MOA works to facilitate new funding and support for areas such as research, new products and infrastructure development. We also provide opportunities for member Education and access to experts in organic exports, production and research. The MOA also facilitates networking across the organic value chain through various Events and other opportunities.
