News & Events - MOA In the Community

Annual General Meeting

MOA's fourth AGM was held on March 16, 2012 at the Headingley Community Centre. For more information on this meeting, as well as other AGMs, please visit the AGM page.

Throughout the year, MOA can be seen at tradeshows and other events where people are interested in agriculture and the organic sector in Manitoba:

Green Lifestyle and Natural Living Show, Winnipeg, October 2011

The Manitoba Organic Alliance (MOA) was a strong presence at the Green Lifestyle and Natural Living Show at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on October 22-23. This show featured Manitoba organic producers and their products in the MOA Artisan Market. Organic foods were front and centre at the cooking stage on Saturday afternoon, where several chefs showcased organic ingredients and the audience had a chance to have MOA’s Priscilla Reimer answer their questions about the benefits of eating organic, what organic really means and why it matters.

MOA at the All Things Organic trade show, 2010

All Things Organic, Boston, October 2010

MOA attended New England’s largest organic event for the first time in 2010. Through a partnership with Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, several Manitoba producers and processors participated in a trade mission to attend the show and learn more about the New England organic marketplace.

Growing Local Conference, February 2010, 2011

MOA was at both the third annual and the fourth annual Growing Local Conference hosted by Food Matters Manitoba at the University of Winnipeg. The two days of workshops and speakers from across Manitoba and Canada were a great success.
